Jay is a Louisville native, who studied at Vanderbilt University and pursued a career in corporate America after graduation. The Lord called him, at age 40, to leave his business career and devote his life to pastoral ministry. He earned an M.Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and planted Throne of Grace Community Church in 2012, currently serving as Preaching Pastor. Jay and his wife Liz have been married since 1994 and have two daughters together, Katherine and Maggie.
